Beginning tomorrow, Monday 9/15 arrival procedures will be using the assigned doors for each grade. Students are to enter using their assigned doors by 7:50 - 8:00am. If students want breakfast, they are to enter using the cafeteria doors.

We’re excited to celebrate Dad Bring Your Child to School Day next week on Thursday, September 18, from 8:00–10:00 AM!

This special event honors the important role that fathers and positive male role models play in our students’ lives. If a student’s father is unavailable, a guardian, grandfather, uncle, or trusted male figure is more than welcome to participate.

Welcome Back P.S. 60 Family!! Attending school regularly is the first step to reaching our goals! Building the habit of good attendance early can help your child succeed in school. Missing just two days a month can make it harder for your child to learn to read.
Here are some tips to ensure your child has GREAT ATTENDANCE this school year:
-Set a standard bed and wake up time
-Let your child choose what clothes they would like the wear the night before -Make doctors appointments outside of school hours
-Schedule vacations when school is not in session

Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, in accordance with New York State law, New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) is updating its policy regarding the use of personal internet-enabled electronic devices—including cell phones—in school. This change supports the State's intent to create distraction-free schools and aims to ensure safe and focused learning environments across all NYCPS schools.

The 2025 - 2026 school supply lists are now available for all grades. This year, you can find your student's supply list and add it to your shopping cart with just a click!
